CONECTANDO SABERES

Conectando Saberes: Pre-Academic Preparation for Graduate Studies is an initiative developed for the Graduate Program in Mathematics and Technology Education (Edumatec) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).

The project aims to democratize access to graduate education by offering academic preparation to groups historically underrepresented in higher education. Its target audience includes final-year undergraduate students, recent graduates, affirmative-action students, first-generation university students, public-school teachers, and members of historically excluded communities.

The project’s visual identity is built around five key concepts: connection, representing the bridge between undergraduate and graduate education; inclusion, emphasizing diversity and equal access; knowledge, reflecting scientific and academic learning; development, expressing preparation and personal growth; and accessibility, reinforcing the democratization of knowledge.
